Wand Questions Answered

Someone once wrote me with the following question about my wands ...

Q. Are these only toys because you speak of them at times as if they are for real magick?

I'm not exactly sure how to answer your question because I'm not sure what you consider "real magick" however, I'll do what I can to answer.

If by "real magick" you are asking if the wands are like those in fantasy movies or books in that simply waving them about will produce levitations and vanishing ... then no, I'm sorry, these wands will not nor will any that I'm aware of. This kind of "magic" is limited to the realm of imagination. That is not to say the value of play and the importance of imagination should be underestimated.

So if that is the kind of "real magick" you're asking about, I can only repeat the disclaimer that is on the inside cover of the handbook that comes with every Frater RJ wand ...

The wands I craft may be used as toys to spark the imagination but they can be used for more as well.

As you may be aware, there are certain mystery schools who's ceremonies and rituals (no, these have nothing to do with "black magic") include wands for their richness in symbolism.

So the bottom line is this ....
All Frater RJ wands are made with care and attention so that they may be used with pride by the best of "magicians" and yet, are in no way lessened should their new owner use them for nothing more magical than an afternoon of make believe.
